Getting J-1 visa – is one of the final but very important stages in the programme registration. That is why all student-participants of the programme Work and Travel must, according to the requirements of the American Embassy department, fill in all the necessary forms to get J-1 visa correctly. We will send you all the necessary forms and will check if everything is correct.
J-1 visa – is the visa, which is granted to the participants of the program Work and Travel. The full name of this visa is – J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa. This visa has a very important particularity – this is an arrival visa. In other words, this visa gives you the right only to arrive in the USA, but the period of staying is determined by the form DS-2019.
J-1 visa is granted on the basis of the form DS-2019. When you pay for the programme, you pay for the form DS-2019, but not the J-1 visa. J-1 visa is paid when you personally go to the Embassy.
Attention! For the clients, who have registered, we give all the necessary forms for the Embassy: DS-156, DS-157, DS-158
All the participants go through the interview and get the visa only in the Embassy department of The USA.
The address of the Consular department and the Embassy itself differs. The embassy of the USA is situated in the other part of the city.

You can get to the Consular department of the USA :
1. From the metro station “Lukianovka” you go by trolleybus № 18, 16 or by the rout taxi № 18 till the stop “Poltavskaya” (you should get out in one stop) . Then you cross the road, a bit return back, your orientation will be the bank “Finances and the credit”. To the right will be Pimonenko street – it is you aim!
2. From the station “Majdan Nezalezhnosti” you go by trolleybus №18, №16 or by the rout taxi №!8 till the stop “Turgenevskaya”. And right before you will see - the bank “Finances and the credit”, to the right Pimonenko street - and you are there!
