Au Pair (from french – on the equal rights). Nowadays, thousands of young girls from all over the world go abroad to become an Au Pair. Au pair lives in the family, which accepted her, where she looks after children and helps to do the chores. And in turn she receives a great opportunity to learn the language of the country where she will be living and to get to know the culture and traditions. In accordance to the meaning f this word, au pair is considered as the member of the family.

The “Au Pair” programme is not really an employment.

 

This is a programme for young people who are open to cultural exchange; it helps them to see the world, to improve their knowledge of the foreign language, thus to improve their financial position by receiving pocket money, which they get from the family, where they live in, and by accumulating them.

- Au Pair lives in the family as a member of the family and takes part in all events that the family organizes (like, to go to the cinema, shopping, the museum visits, galleries, cafes, travel vacation within the country and abroad etc.) It gives a great opportunity to get to know about the culture and tradition that exist in America and to get used to the American way of life.

- The family present the au pair with a separate room and three meal per day, also it present au pair with pocket money, the amount of which is 195 USD per week.

- In turn an au pair helps the family 40 hours per week (max 10 per day), and the general duty is to look after children.

§ The working hours of Au Pair should be organized in such a way, so that she has time to do her work and to have time to meet other Au Pairs and to visit courses

§ During the stay in the USA, Au Pair visits college, where she studies English (including English slang), culture and traditions in the USA. The family pays for the college (500$), but the books which could be needed there is the duty of the au pair to buy.

§ In addition, au pair visits meeting which are organized for all au pairs by the local coordinators. On those meetings you can find many good friends, the same Au Pair as you. Sometimes the meetings include the visit of the museum, or a gallery, or sport competitions, or some voluntary projects, some parties or other meetings, which have the purpose to show the au pairs the culture and traditions of the country.

§ Au pair is given two weeks of paid vacation by the family during the year, 1,5 weekend per week, and at least one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month.

§ The last 13t month au air can devout to the traveling through the whole America.

§ The entrance according to this programme is permitted all the year round.

§ Au Pair can reside in all states of America.
